Gales continue and Pompey are 'incredibly unlucky'

Still howling, here. Suited Sam. He got up at 10. Well, I use the term 'got up' loosely as he has just eaten and watched the golf  on telly then watched football, all from the relatively unchallenging environment of his bunk. Seems happy enough. I also confess to doing nothing other than produce bacon and eggs at the crack of 1130. Lovely.
We then spent the next 3 hrs trying to pre guess exactly how many goals Portsmouth were going to win by, against Oxford. It's the opening day of the season and a  record crowd attended Fratton Park to watch Pompey lose 4- 1. The average Pompey fan would have said we had already hit rock bottom by being in Division 2. Well the fans may need a rethink because we are nearly BOTTOM (of div 2) after the first game.

Went for a long walk to visit Royal Troon golf  course. It's hosting the British Open in 2016.

In the background is The Isle of Arron and we plan to sail the 15 mile passage in the morning. We are also thinking of climbing the peak  (Goatfell) but , as a lot at the moment, depends on the weather.
It's a struggle to write much of interest when I want to get going again. Apologies, therefore, for  this limited update. Aside from its golfing links, Troon seems a bit drab. High street is full of hairdressers, take aways and dentists .................,,,and, of course, wind. As I write this it is bloody howling again.
