A day after taking early retirement, from my cosy office job in sunny Guildford, I intend to sail my 50yr old sailboat around the UK. As July 14th fast approaches I admit to feeling scared stiff and, at times, wish I'd kept my mouth shut as my son has now told his school mates. In short, I'm obliged to give it a bash. On a more positive note I am excited at the prospect of an adventure before bits start dropping off ( the boat and me) and I finally retire to my sofa, some wine and SKY TV
Loving your blog al - what an adventure. I have to admit that the 100 miles across Lyme Bay sounds monstrous. Beautiful pictures though. And regarding the food - you wanted to lose a pound or two - well I bet you're managing that !! Keep it up !
Hi Alan I hope you have a great time and a fantastic experience. The pictures are great thinking of you and will try to see you sometime on the trip best regards Ken
